About our company

Rasila Herman (on the left in photo) graduated from BCIT with a one year certificate in Architecture and Building Technology (2013) and a second one year certificate in Structural Design and Drafting (2014).

Since then he has had a diverse career working in an architectural design firm (Nanaimo), a structural engineering firm (Nanaimo), a restaurant design studio (Australia), and a curtainwall manufacturer (Ontario). Through Family Tree Developments, Rasila and his team have participated in a wide range of projects from industrial and commercial, to mixed-use, multi-family and single family.

Born and raised on Vancouver Island, he applies his local knowledge and this cross-disciplinary experience to identify and advance property development opportunities from early concept through completion. He collaborates closely with local consultants, builders, and trades to form integrated project teams.

Based in Nanaimo, his work focuses on delivering beautiful and practical commercial and residential projects that respond to Vancouver Islands unique market.
